Beyoncé isn't letting motherhood slow her down. On Monday night, Queen B hit the red carpet at the splashy Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in a dress that left very little to the imagination.

Her sheer, skintight Givenchy haute couture gown was highlighted with black sequins and beading, as well as purple and black feathers on the floor-length hemline. The dress showed off her fit, curvaceous post-baby body. B was one of many fashionistas who dazzled at the annual fete.

The 2012 Met Gala red carpet was dazzling per usual, with style showstoppers like Rihanna, Rachel Roy, Paula Patton and Solange Knowles killing the red carpet with their fabulousity.

But it would be Solange's big sister aka Sasha Fierce aka Queen Bey aka People's "Most Beautiful Woman In The World" that would steal the show...Beyonce!

Can we just reflect on the fact that on January 7, 2012 the mega star gave birth to beautiful baby Blue Ivy Carter and on May 7, 2012 she stepped out in a gorgeous sheer gown?

Sure, she has a team of people helping her get back to bootylicious form for her sold-out comeback concerts--but bravo all the same.

The ultra see-through black lace Givenchy design was a little bit Las Vegas showgirl and whole lot of fabulous! Sexy yet still sophisticated.

The 30-year-old "Love On Top" singer was escorted down the massive red carpet by none other then our favorite Vogue editor-turned-reality show star Andre Leon Talley.

Beyonce is hands down the best-dressed star in our eyes.

The End. Who runs the world? Bey does. Yes, her dress is absolutely amazing, with the see-through, shimmery lace and incredible purple train. (We will fall asleep tonight and every night of the next year dreaming about that to-die-for train. Swoon.) But not just anyone could pull off this gorgeous gown. It’s the singer’s confidence that sells it and makes it such a completely spectacular look. Let’s just hope she saves it for lil Blue to wear one day, too.
